Professor Alvan-Ikoku Okwudiri Nwamara is the current Dean of Faculty of Arts, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. He is a Professor of African Musical Arts Composition, Theory and Performance at the Department of Music, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. He is one of Nigeria's finest composers and performers of art music (majorly choral) and dance band music. He has many scholarly books, articles and discographies to his credit. He is fondly called De Music Oracle by friends, associates, colleagues, fans and admirers.
